Dustin Rhodes
Blacksmith and Published Author
I’m Dustin Rhodes, I’m a bladesmith, a blacksmith and business owner. I’ve been forging knives and other items for over 30 years. I’ve been featured on National and International television programs such as Forged in Fire S4E2 “Deer Horn Knives” and Master of Arms S1E1 “Flintlock Axe Pistol”. I’ve produced instructional videos, I’m a published author and my work has been featured in national publications. I trace my beginnings to frontier reenactment, and specialize in early American frontier and primitive native weapons.
An Accomplished Group
I have taught knifemaking and blacksmithing at college level as well as at The Turtle Island Preserve as featured on Mountain Men on the history channel. My shop is run by myself, Cheyenne Brown and my daughter Elizabeth Rhodes. Cheyenne was featured on Forged in Fire S9E5 “Blades Gone Wild”. Cheyenne’s art is expressed in unique blades and carved bone. She is a nationally recognized bladesmith, artist and educator. Elizabeth specializes in primitive copper blades and weapons and has been subject of discussion on several television programs. We run a family owned Forge a Memory location with axe throwing in central Illinois.
